Arsenal vs AC Milan 15/03/18

15 March 2018

Just when AC Milan started to look like a solid team, Arsenal have completely outplayed them at the San Siro, winning by two goals to nil and probably eliminating them from the Europa League. Victory in Milano was the Gunners first triumph after four consecutive losses, and they’ve continued in the same manner in the Premier League by beating Watford 3-0. The North London side has almost lost any chance of reaching the Champions League football next season through the national championship and winning the Europa League is their only way to avoid staying out of the European top flight for two years in a row. The Rossoneri, on the other hand, have managed to defeat Genoa on the road last weekend, keeping their hopes of securing one of the first four places in Serie A alive. However, Gennaro Gattuso’s team won’t surrender without a fight although they need to improve their game a lot comparing to the first leg.

Arsene Wenger doesn’t have Santi Cazorla, Alexandre Lacazette, Nacho Monreal, and Hector Bellerin at his disposal, as are all struggling with injuries, while Shkodran Mustafi who suffered a knock against the Hornets could be fit for the encounter. As for the visitors, Andrea Conti isn’t ready despite returning to full training, and Ignazio Abate is ruled out due to a muscle strain.
