Relegation-threatened Amiens will take on a rampant Paris Saint-Germain side at the Stade de la Licorne this weekend, hoping to put an end to their three-game losing run in Ligue 1 (L1) H2Hs.

The hosts are still chasing their elusive first victory in 2020, having failed to pick up three points in six L1 outings since the turn of the year (D3, L3). Interestingly, while all three of their draws during that six-game sequence produced under 2.5 goals, each of their three defeats in the same period has yielded the same 2-1 scoreline. For Amiens, goals have been at a premium lately. Indeed, they’ve scored one goal or less in their last seven L1 home matches, winning just one of them but none of the previous six (D3, L3). Improving a dismal home form seems highly unlikely for Les Licornes here, as they have lost three of four competitive home H2Hs with PSG (D1), drawing a blank in all but one of those clashes.

On the other hand, the visitors have secured 11 wins in 12 competitive games in the new calendar year (D1), scoring over 2.5 goals in eight of those fixtures. In turn, the reigning L1 holders have racked up an impressive 11-game winning away run, netting a minimum of two goals per match in all but one of those successes. Quick-start PSG have opened the scoring in 92% (11) of their 12 away league matches this term, scoring 13 of their total 27 road goals in the first half (Amiens have managed 13 home goals for the entire season). Furthermore, the Parisians are one of two sides yet to concede double figures away from home in the French top division so far this season (nine), even though they’ve kept a clean sheet in just five of 12 L1 road trips (42%).
