AC Milan vs Brescia 01/09/19

1 September 2019

The upcoming Serie A (SA) clash with the newly-promoted Brescia at the Stadio San Siro will serve as a perfect opportunity for AC Milan to post their first league win this term after a disappointing start to the new season.

The Rossoneri have not only suffered a 1-0 away loss to Udinese in the opening matchday, but they’ve also failed to produce a single shot on target for the entire 90 minutes against the last season relegation fighters. An encouraging fact for the home side is that they’ve won six consecutive SA home season openers. Plus, the Milanese giants have won three of their last four SA home games (W3, D1), two of which have been accompanied by a clean sheet. Moreover, Milan are unbeaten in eight top-flight home H2Hs with Brescia in the 21st century (W4, D3), with half of those clashes featuring over 2.5 goals (4).

Meanwhile, the visitors marked their top-flight return after eight years of absence with a 1-0 away win over Cagliari. It was their fifth away win since the turn of the year, including four in the Serie B last season (W5, D4, L1). But, only three of Brescia’s ten competitive away games since the turn of the year have featured over 2.5 goals although half of them witnessed goals on both ends (5). Also, Le Rondinelle have lost all six of their previous H2Hs with Milan in all competitions, four of which have seen them concede three or more goals.
