Leicester City and Bournemouth go head-to-head at the King Power Stadium, with the hosts hoping to post their first Premier League (PL) home win this season.
Unbeaten after the opening three rounds of the PL fixtures (W1, D2), the hosts will look to stretch their unbeaten home PL run against Bournemouth to five games (W1, D3). All four of their previous PL H2Hs at this venue have featured under 2.5 goals, with the Cherries breaking the deadlock twice across those meetings. Interestingly, none of Leicester’s last five PL home matches has seen both teams score (W2, D2, L1), with one of their wins in that sequence coming precisely against Bournemouth (2-0). If the Foxes win here, it will probably be accompanied by at least two goals in Bournemouth’s net, as all four of their PL home triumphs since the turn of the year witnessed Brendan Rodgers’ men bag two or more goals.
Meanwhile, the visitors have endured mixed fortunes at the beginning of the 2019/20 PL season (W1, D1, L1), with all of those fixtures seeing both teams score. Bournemouth’s only league triumph this term has come away from home, with the Cherries beating the returnees, Aston Villa, 2-1 in the second matchday. It was only their third win in ten PL trips since the turn of the year (W3, D1, L6). All of their victories in that period have seen the Cherries score 2+ match goals while two saw them beat their rivals to nil. However, all six of those defeats have been accompanied by at least two goals in Bournemouth’s net, with Eddie Howe’s men failing to find the net four times in the process.
