The two struggling sides fighting for the European qualification will lock horns at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez as Getafe (5th) take Real Sociedad (7th).

Five consecutive La Liga games without a win (D4, L1) means the hosts are stumbling at the wrong time, as they now trail fourth-placed Sevilla by five points. A genuine lack of firepower up front has seen Getafe score under 1.5 goals in each of their last eight league matches, with three of five goals they scored across those fixtures coming before the halftime break. In turn, tormented by huge difficulties in the final third, Jose Bordalas’ men have netted just one goal in their four previous La Liga home outings, with the last three featuring under 2.5 total goals (D3, L1). However, two victories from their last three top-flight home H2Hs give the home side a glimmer of hope that they can find a way of a severe crisis.

In the meantime, the visitors have endured an utterly underwhelming post-pandemic period, losing each of their three league fixtures since La Liga’s restart to drop seven points below the top-four. Like Getafe, the Basque-based outfit have recently struggled to impress in the attack, scoring under 1.5 goals in four consecutive league matches, with both of their goals notched in that four-game sequence arriving beyond the hour mark. Additionally, Imanol Alguacil’s players have suffered four defeats from their last five La Liga road trips (W1), with four of those results (win/loss) seeing the winner on the day score at least twice.
