Borussia Monchengladbach welcome an out-of-form Augsburg side to the Borussia-Park in what will be a must-win game for Dieter Hecking’s crew.

One defeat and one draw in their last four Bundesliga fixture have seen Borussia Monchengladbach slipping down to third place, as they now have to clinch a victory to prevent Borussia Dortmund from walking away with the title. The Borussians are the only team in the German top tier to secure a maximum of 24 points at home so far. Furthermore, their tally of just three goals conceded at home is a league high, with Dieter Hecking’s men keeping a clean sheet in five of eight Bundesliga home clashes. Not only the Foals scored over 1.5 goals in every single home game this season, but they’ve managed to bag over 2.5 goals per match five times in the process. However, Borussia Monchengladbach have problems playing against Augsburg, as they’ve only managed to secure one victory in their last six H2H Bundesliga meetings (W1, D4, L1).

Meanwhile, the visitors are struggling to find a way out of a severe crisis, as they currently sit just one point clear of the relegation zone.
